Multiple sources have confirmed to Spectrum News' Jon Scott that Williams(former Syracuse and Bills WR) passed away after suffering injuries during an accident at a construction side earlier today.

In his rookie season, he led the team with 964 receiving yards, and his 65 receptions were one shy of tying the team lead. He also scored 11 times, the most on the team, and his impressive campaign was good for a second-place honor for Offensive Rookie of the Year behind Sam Bradford.

More details: According to a GoFundMe in his honor, Williams died on Friday after a steel beam fell on his head.

Former NFL receiver Mike Williams, 36, is on life support after sustaining injuries last week in a construction accident.
It was previously reported by Spectrum News 1 in Buffalo that Williams had died after his injuries, but the Tampa Bay Times is now reporting that Williams is in fact on life support.
“They were waiting on me and [his daughter]. We’re here and still trying to figure it out,” Tierney Lyle, the mother of Williams’ 8-year-old daughter, said, according to the Times.
“He was asleep when we went in there and he non-bigoted up when he heard our voices and his daughter’s voice,” Lyle said. “And he looked around, and he blinked and he was crying but he can’t move.”
Williams’ agent confirmed to 7 News WKBW in Buffalo that the receiver is still alive.

This is getting weird. Everyday i see "mike williams passes", then a few hrs later "mike williams still fighting"
As of this second, he apparently is alive but he is off life support but still alive
