Last year’s first-round pick is a healthy scratch in the season opener. Buffalo goes with only Dane Jackson behind Tre’Davious White and Christian Benford at outside corner.

S Damar Hamlin

This news leaked earlier today, but Buffalo will go with slot corner Cam Lewis as the fourth safety behind Micah Hyde, Jordan Poyer, and Taylor Rapp tonight.

Elam made some key plays for us last year. Intercepted Mahomes in the endzone during the KC win. Interception vs Miami in the playoffs. He's good. They either don't like his possible penalties or something else is going on with him. They could just trust Dane and Benford more. They didn't hate him enough to trade him during cuts though. It's a weird situation.

Really irritates me that they finally grabbed a man guy and stubbornly mean to dump him less effectively in zone or sit him instead of looking at what he could bring to the table. He finished last season looking good......but nah.
