    Hurry-up performance

I'm putting this out there for someone to do the work (I am busy with work aka lazy)...

What was the per-play efficiency of the drive where Allen was operating hurry-up? It seems to me that it was significantly more effective.

Should Bills consider hurry-up offense? Allen, while a turn-over freak, seems to be improved while in the no-huddle.

Our OL would need time to gel ..... when Kelly ran it Kent Hull was in charge with a seasoned line to guide we need that to be successful ..... Kelly also had Lofton, Reed, Beebee and Thurman Thomas and we don't have anything close to that.

So, ESPN does note on its play-by-play if the play is "no-huddle".

There were 10 plays that were noted "no-huddle," 2 runs, 6 passes, 2 sacks.

Allen was 5/6 on passes, for 5,6,6,8,13, total 38 yards (a sukie dream).

2 runs totaled 1 yard, 2 sacks totaled -11 yards.

Dividing it up for Allen, 5/6 for 38 yards no-huddle, 24/33 for 198 yards otherwise (2 spikes not counted). So nearly 8 yards per attempt vs. 6 otherwise. 1 sack per 4 drop backs no-huddle, versus 1 sack per 12 drop backs otherwise.

Is it enough to say he's better than Dorsey calling plays? (Assuming he is calling them in no huddle.)

They really had success with this early with Allen under Daboll, but would only do it a few plays then slow it down with ineffective Singletary runs. I always thought it was where they were headed. When Allen gets in that zone, he's a terror. Then they just went McDermott conservative. Rein them in we don't want a buzzsaw offense....we'll keep giving the ball back to the other team by scoring too much.
