Whats sad is it wasnt the playmaking ability that impressed me
It was the screens/misdirection plays that i watched bernard dissect (not always make the tackle). It was the play action plays that he didnt bite on, it was him never being on one side of the field while the ball was on the other
I was told by cover 1 bills and posters here that our defense "puts a lot on the MLB and they are told to always drop", yet, bernard just reads and reacts
Everything that bernard is, even when he doesnt get the play made, is what we wanted out of edmunds. In 3 games ive yet to see him not pursue the ball carrier which i saw almost every play of Edmunds. Bernard sees ball, gets ball
Hopefully this performance explains why we hated edmunds because im not sure if Bernard becomes incredible like he was today, but at least he did what weve been wanting to see from MLB. READ AND REACT, dont hesitate, dont get caught in the mesh, dont get lazy, read and get the ****ing ballNot here to be right, just here to have interesting discussions about my impulsive opinionsComment
