Whenever the Patriots move on from Bill Belichick, owner Robert Kraft already had his successor in mind.
“Two sources close to the Patriots have independently said the same thing: They believe [Mike] Vrabel, currently the Titans’ coach, is the Krafts’ ‘home run’ choice to succeed Belichick,” the Boston Globe’s Ben Volin reported Friday (https://www.bostonglobe.com/2023/11/03/sports/bill-belichicks-seat-gets-hotter-battle-control-patriots-begins/?event=event12).
There is increasing chatter (https://nypost.com/2023/10/20/patriots-have-had-talks-about-firing-bill-belichick-albert-breer/) that Belichick could be on his way out from the Patriots and — at the bare minimum — his seat is getting hotter.

Patriots have 'home run' hire to eventually replace Bill Belichick (https://nypost.com/2023/11/06/sports/patriots-have-home-run-hire-to-eventually-replace-bill-belichick/)

Lmao. This would reek of the Bills bringing Marv back as GM. Desperate attempt to reinvigorate the fan base by bringing back an icon of the glory days.
