All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
I don't think he merits a HOF spot. I may be in the minority, but the HOF is for the very top of the elite players. I don't think Steve Tasker, despite his excellent play, ever reached that level.
If he were that good he would have been an everyday starter at WR.
Argue like hell. Keep it clean. And when it's over, shake hands and root for our team!
Steve Tasker defined great special teams play! Also he was if not the best obe of the best ever special teams player. If greatness defines your position then he as a special team member should be in! Also not that it matter but Sam Gash thought he should be in!:)

If he was an everyday WR, he wouldn't been playing special teams
Originally posted by NoCtUrNaL If an offensive lineman can get in, why not a special teams player.
Offensive linemen play half the plays of a game and games are won and lost in the trenches. Speacial teamers play about 10 plays a game. While there is an ocasional game changing play on speacial teams it isn't a common occurance.
I think he definatly gets in because of the way he changed the games making it so there are players who only play ST. There is no way the NFL keeps kickers out for too long, think of it this way everyone knows Hank Aaron has produced the most points in baseball, only kickers really have a shot at becoming the all-time leading scorer in the NFL. Can you really keep you all tie leading scorer (Gary Anderson) out of the Hall of Fame? Once they start going in the Taskers and the Punters will be in as well. Also after Takser I think the special teamer that follows him in is Brian Mitchell too.
