I don't know about people picking on Taron Johnson here. Why don't you focus on the big NFL superstar who has been back now for what? 3 weeks or so? And is invisible? How does that investment look now? Guy gets hurt, comes back and goes easy street?

He's coming back from an injury that takes at minimum of a year to fully recover from. We're not at that year point yet. Plus he's not exactly a spring chicken anymore on top of that.

With the playoffs looking like slimmer and slimmer where Miller would have been close to 100% if not 100%, we're going to have to wait til the beginning of next year to see the Von Miller of old.

And yes, there's always the possibility the Von Miller of old will never return but to expect him to be out there right now on the majority of the snaps and be the dominant force he was is unrealistic.

He was in on running plays and even dropped into coverage on one of the I’ll fated 3rd down blitz completions to Jeudy

A telling barometer of Von Miller (https://theathletic.com/nfl/player/von-miller-3CFHRgYPasw0E3hK/)’s progress

The Bills have kept things realistic with 34-year-old pass rusher Von Miller in his return from a torn ACL. Many have said they see Miller is making strides every week to become the player he was before the injury, inspiring confidence within the building that he can find that return to form. But with the game on the line, and the Bills in obvious pass-rushing situations every snap while ahead 22-21, Miller was nowhere to be found on the field. The Bills instead went with a three-man rotation, using two of Leonard Floyd (https://theathletic.com/nfl/player/leonard-floyd-8Itq1mLAmeamKQM5/), Greg Rousseau (https://theathletic.com/nfl/player/greg-rousseau-DA37tJCuXdEPpwnT/) and A.J. Epenesa (https://theathletic.com/nfl/player/aj-epenesa-Vy3ID5vQnnaHArmI/) on any given snap. Miller has not been an impactful pass rusher since his return to action, and in a specific game situation where in normal times he’d be expected to help close the game, he instead watched from the sidelines. The more weeks that this low-usage continues, the more concern mounts over his potential effectiveness once deemed at 100 percent.

Wish I could say he looks close to being back ..... can't though.

Offer him a coaching spot and get him off the cap situation he puts us in.

Restructure, ........ Von take a pile of cash and step aside for the good of the team.

It's time to be honest about your future.

He’s the most expensive cheerleader in the history of sports.

We’re stuck with him and Knox through 2024 so they will have ample time to heal up and return to whatever form they have left.

The FO made a gamble that he’d be the pass rusher to disrupt Mahomes and get us out of the AFC. It didn’t pay off.

Full rebuild coming.

Not defensively .... when he's shedded that all ends.

Not really a rebuild .... we have pieces and depth along the front 7 we really never needed him.

That back end has been in need of fresh blood for a year maybe two .... new faces are coming.

Look for Douglas to be resigned .... Elam will be allowed to walk ..... Benford on his rookie deal looks like the real deal ... we get Milano back ..... Bernard is looking very good in his rookie year.

Probably time to move on from Hamlin jmo.

Just don't see a rebuild.

Changes of course just like every other team in the league.

Really not just Von but the team was not there at all it seems. They were there but not playing and showing up to win.

Big changes. They're 30 million over the cap and the young, cheap draft pipeline hasn't kept pace with the pricey 1 year rental plugins meant to be that 1 piece to get us over the top. They're getting close to the limit of how much money they can keep pushing down the road with renegotiations of players that are only getting older while losing ground in results. Miller won't be one of them for another year for his dead cap.

The process was supposed to be a process, and should be max efficiency atm, not already in tangible decline like it is. The oft injured guys aren't a foundation, because they'll get hurt again.

I don't see this ending well. I don't see a remaining window atm.
