Those two were a huge part of the success the Bills have had over the past few years and I’ll always respect them for that, but they have aged out. -

All they provide is locker room leadership at this point and a veteran presence.
Problem is we don't know what shape that room is in right now, with how flat we come out in some games, looking completely disinterested at times and the players calling a players only meeting...all lead me to believe there is some kind of issue going on in there.
On the field both Poyer and Hyde are a step slow. Happens to all of us when we get older.
Time to thank them both for their contributions to the team on the field and in the room prior to this season and move on.Comment

They’re both on the same decline… lots of knowledge and instincts but lacking too much now in speed and athleticism…
I’d say keep one and upgrade the other for next year. We can use Hyde or Poyer as a box safety when we play 3 safeties.Comment

To me it was evident in the preseason.
Nobody even wanted Poyer.
Then we played the Steelers, and watching him try to catch the Steeler running back from behind, was both sad and comical at the same time.
The kid kept pulling away, while Poyer kept sucking wind.Comment
