The move brings their active roster total down to 52, which frees up a spot for defensive tackle DaQuan Jones should he be able to play this weekend.

Ifedi, 29, signed with the Bills at the end of August. He spent the preseason as a member of the Detroit Lions (https://www.prideofdetroit.com/), which released him on August 27. Buffalo signed him three days after his release from Detroit. The veteran did not appear in a game for the Bills this season, as he was a healthy scratch for each contest. The Bills instead went with Ryan Van Demark as their swing tackle.

Pushing sleds doesn’t get one into football shape. It’s one thing at the start of the season when everyone’s in the same boat. It’s a different thing to jump into real reps with guys who have been taking them for months.

B.) he’s not a skill player running up and down the field who needs to get his “legs back”…his job is to be strong and agile for a few seconds within a few feet if the LOS

McDermott's comfort zone....it's the 7th year of the program, and certain spots are always vet retread while they draft players that sit until they don't have to because they got low on depth or they start someone because they had to without plugging them into the obvious.

There is no practice simulation that is equivalent to game reps, period. Rule #1 of training is that you don’t hurt your training partner because then there is no one to train with. Guys just don’t go as hard in practice as they do in games.

And limited snaps means limited impact even if he plays well on those snaps.
