Hit the brakes on Brady as next years OC!

This is why you let it play out. The last couple games have seemed like Dorsey is back. He's got next week and the playoffs to turn it around.

Not impressed but let's see how the rest of the season goes.

Haven't been impressed with Josh as well ever since Daboll as a passer.

      Disheartening.

The O is definitely less stupid but also not very imaginative. Guys aren’t getting schemed open. We haven’t had imagination since Daboll.

I'm done blaming the OC, I mean Dorsey ran an O that was better than what we're doing right now last season. Yeah there were lapses at times under Dorsey, and this year there were more frequent, but I'm not seeing some vast changes besides getting Cook more involved recently, although Cook is on a milk carton the last two weeks for the most part. Comes down to the players, I'm not saying that we can't upgrade at the coaching position, but I think we need upgrades at WR first and foremost, Pats ran a lot of man coverage in that first half and we had nothing for them.

Then it comes down to QB1, Allen has his head in space right now, it's clear that he's not playing well or seeing it well on the field. As long as Josh plays poorly, this O will play poorly, just that simple. He's the glue that keeps it all together. Front office has helped him with an OL, they got him Kincaid, hopefully they upgrade from Gabe in the offseason, but Josh needs to play like he used to. Daboll/Tierney/Dorsey combo did well to get Josh locked in, and even then in 2021 the O looked sluggish at times until they turned it up in December.

You're going to have dry spells on O sometimes, but this has been an issue for a couple of months besides the Cowboys/Eagles/Jets game and I personally think the Eagles/Cowboys are soft as **** on D and we lost to the Eagles.

Of course they are. They got a rookie WR another ancient retread WR and one of the best TE in the league is out

play calling is what separates offenses

Nothing from today changes the fact that he should be named the permanent OC.

As usual you're wrong. He hasn't earned the job. They need someone who can figure out what the hell is up with JA. He hasn't been the same since Daboll left.

NE is trash, but have a good D...

Re: Hit the brakes on Brady as next years OC!

I won't let Brady off the hook, Cook up the middle is maddening. All of a sudden the last couple games, the offense looks disinterested again. They came out flat again.

As for Brady though, you don't install an offense midseason. He's using Dorseys playbook. Don't know McDermott's going to let him start throwing new plays out there at this point. Doesn't appear the players can handle some of the plays they have as well, so I dunno they'd handle new material well.

Chips will fall where they'll fall. I don't know what to expect. Miami's a better team, maybe they Cowboys them. No clue. Team isn't solid and consistent though by any means, hard to see them making a run in the playoffs.

Yes. Next week and then the playoffs. He can still earn the job. DB saying just give it to him after 5 up and down games is foolishness.

So you want a psychologist instead of an OC. I’ll pass on that, Brady has shown more than enough scheme and creativity for us to win despite our stars not being at their best.

If you can challenge what he’s doing schematically then I’m all ears, the floor is yours.

No, he flat out stunk today.

Made all the same stupid Dorsey mistakes:

Run his sweep/cutback runner up the gut.

                          Throwing deep outs all game.

Then refused to change when it clearly wasn't working.

It was a pathetic display of Dorseyism.

We need an actual offensive coordinator, not the next guy up.

Was Daboll the only guy to get Josh to play smart consistently or scheme in a way that made it easy for Josh to make the right decisions?
