    Punt God Anyone

If Martin is out, would you? Divine retribution for the injustice that was done to him? Could happen.

Would he even want to come back to this organization?

He proclaimed his innocent all along the way, they cut him anyway, and he was proven to be right.

Remember Matt Haack? He could be a possibility.

I did mention it a few times.

      Make the call now!

Unless he likes unemployment he'll understand the position the team was in.

They made the choice they had to.

I think he'd come back in a heartbeat. If Martin can't go he should be their first call.

Pretty confident they wouldn't even consider him. Take the history out of it, the idea of bringing in somebody who has never punted in the NFL to be your new punter for the Divisional Round of the playoffs would be rather insane.

            Of course he would!

              There's also that.

Matt Haack would probably be the first guy considered. He punted here before so they're familiar with him and was good in Cleveland when Bojo was out.

I'd bring in Araiza to replace Bass at this point.

In all seriousness, DB is right. To have your first pro action be a January game against the world champs where he has to handle punts and hold for FGs is less than ideal. I can't be certain, but I think the climate/weather conditions in Buffalo differ from those in San Diego.

OTOH, I would very much like him invited to camp next year because I feel the Bills (and society) owe him one

Haack or Brett Kern. Want nothing to do with Araiza right now.

Even forgetting the punting side. He was just learning to hold when he came here. He’s only held for 1 fg attempt in a game (and it was preseason) ever.

not the time or place for this idea.

Good point. Maybe in training camp next year but not now.

Problem his, he's never held for kicks.

I don't want the first time someone's holding to be a Divisional playoff game.

He most likely has done it his whole career, but I agree. Now's not the time for any green behind the gills.
