Massive news. We'll see if he can go at all this week in practice.

Hope the MRI comes back negative.

Ligament damage would show up in the MRI.

Ankle injuries are somewhat different than knee injuries. I suspect it's an ankle sprain, but I don't think he will be back this year. Outside shot he may be able to play in the Super Bowl if we make it.

I'll wait for the MRI report.

Good luck Terrel.

High ankle sprain typical timeframe would put him out even if we make the SB right? Hoping he's somehow good to go next week.

Great news about the X-Ray and hopefully we get similar news regarding MRI. He’s likely gone for the playoffs, but if it’s just a high ankle sprain I’ll gladly take that because he has a promising career ahead

It’s great news for him that it’s not broken on the X-ray. (MRI might show non-displaced fibula fractures not seen on X-ray).

But that doesn’t mean we will see him again by any stretch. The amount of pain, air cast, his reaction all lead me to believe that was no mild sprain. I suspect he has enough ligament damage that even the Super Bowl would be impossible.

Have to wait and see but I don’t have high hopes we see him again this year.

Mahomes disagrees that a sprain means not playing.

Seeing him carted off and a towel over his head makes it hard to believe it's just a sprain, but here's hoping.
