With Bills D side injuries, Bills Offense against Chiefs D is the key this Sunday

Week 14 the Bills were coming off the bye. They did their homework and came out score 14 right off the bat. But then the Chiefs adjusted and they got the INT from Josh. Scored 7 off the turnover and made it a game the rest of the way. Note the Bills offense scored 6 points the rest of the way for the win. The D really limited the Chiefs, in part, because the Chiefs were in their lowest offensive lows and were missing some key players.

Sunday we'll see how the coaching minds on both teams adjusting from a month ago. McDermott vs Reid; Brady vs Spagnuolo. I want to say first round, McDermott > Reid, Spagnuolo > Brady. In short, both defenses won. The Chiefs offense sucked a little more with stupid penalties like Toney's toe offside.

The Chiefs under Spagnuolo is known for blitzing. I can't remember a game between the Bills and the Chiefs where the Chiefs not blitzing a lot. But they had a lot more variations now since the teams know each other very well. Baldinger had a very good explanation of what the Spagnuolo was scheming week 14 to contain Josh after the early blitzes not producing expected results.

Looked at the stats, and Cook only had 10 carries and the next most carries came from Ty Johnson @ 5.
If the Chiefs are just going to sit back like that, hopefully we pound them with a rushing attack... force them to stack the box and then let Josh rip it when its there.

Don't mind saying my biggest fear is the progressive choke as the game gets clutch, after it was already in hand early.

I think Isiah Pacheco might have the biggest impact for the Chiefs. He didn't play that week 14 game. The guy is fast and big. And has been a reliable 2nd option for the Chiefs. Normally when the Bills play the Chiefs, they don't go big on DT, instead they want mobile guys to contain Mahomes. Pacheco might change that. I have no doubt Reid will try Pacheco to see how Bills defend him. If he goes off, I'd say it will be an ugly game for the Bills.

              Priority 1 - no turnovers

Priority 2 - stop Pacheco. Can’t afford a loss of gap integrity and ****ty tackling.

As a rule of thumb though, winning in the trenches maybe the best way to win this game. I have a good reason to believe our D-Line can beat the Chiefs O-Line, especially their tackles. A big challenge will be our O-Line, which arguably is the biggest positive surprise this whole year, against the Chiefs D-Line. They have a few dudes there. Chris Jones lining up across from Torrence or Brown is the biggest threat.

Brown is ranked right at the top in the run game league wide.

                    Spot on.

During Josh Allen's full career, he has had 41 games (43.6%) with ZERO INT's.

                    The record in those games?

                    31-10
                    .756

Josh had 33 games (34.74%) with ONE INT.

                    The record in those games?

                    26-7
                    .788

Josh has had 21 (22.1%) games with TWO or more INT's

                    The record in those games?

                    7-14
                    .333

ONE INT can be overcome many times. TWO or more is killer. ZERO is best as this proves....

The W/L record in games with zero INT's is skewed a bit because TEN of the 41 were in one season, 2019 (before his break out year in 2020), and the record in those games was 5-5.

From 2020 to 2023, Josh has had 26 games (of 59....44%) with ZERO INTS.

                    The record in those games?

                    23-3

                    A whopping .885 W/L record.

Yeah...."no turnovers" is a critical key to winning.
