K.J. Hamler (WR) signed reserve/futures deal

Okay, I had to google this guy -

Short version: Drafted by Denver in 2020, season ending ACL injury in 2021, hamstring issues in 2022, pericarditis (heart) in 2023. Had surgery on a partially torn pectoral muscle from off-season training (before the 2023 season), got waived and ended up on the Colts practice squad (and IR).....

Does anybody know anything about him that I should think that this is a positive move?

They have a Hamlin. They wanted a Hamler? Doesn't sound like anyone who will be making the team.

I think he’s pretty fast, out of Penn State IIRC.

        Incredibly fast before his injury.

Well....he'll never take the last cup of coffee without making a fresh pot unless everyone agrees they don't want any more.

He was a former second round pick.

            Worth a look for sure.

Nothing wrong with giving him an opportunity.

If he’s healthy he could be a weapon as a returner and speed guy. He was pretty dynamic at Penn St, but his health history isn’t great.

He’d fit right in on the defense then!
