    Question about diggs

To Those who understand the cap better than me (literally every living being on this planet)

is diggs tradable? And if so, what could you get for him ?
    I came.
    I saw.
    I conquered.

    Re: Question about diggs

He scheduled to cost about 28 mill against the cap. If traded his hit is 31m. So 3 mil more to not have him playing for us.

His base salary would be 18.5 for his new team. I don't think there'd be any takers. We're stuck with him.

      Re: Question about diggs

It's been explained in another thread.

After June 1st, they can save 19 million of his salary THIS YEAR by trading or cutting him. The caveat is, however, that 19 goes against the cap in 2025. So it's either keep him one more year, eat the cap hit now, or push it to next year if you think you are going to go "all in" in 2024.

In other words, I doubt he goes anywhere.

Witnessing the competitive nature in Diggs. I want him here. He will want to prove that this past 1/2 season is an anomaly… I think he will ball next season. Hope that stop haunts him this offseason.

          Re: Question about diggs

As I wrote in another thread....I'm done with Diggs.

I posted the facts about how he disappears during the playoffs....It's worth re-posting here....

TGS REC Catch % Yards AVG/Y/C Long TD
          Chiefs L
          8 3 37.50% 21 7 15 0
          Pittsburgh W 9 7 77.78% 52 7.4 12 0
          Bengals L
          10 4 40.00% 35 8.8 16 0
          Miami W 9 7 77.78% 114 16.3 52 0
          Chiefs L 6 3 50.00% 7 2.3 5 0
          Pats W 4 3 75.00% 60 20 45 0
          Chiefs L
          11 6 54.55% 77 12.8 34 0
          Ravens W 11 8 72.73% 106 13.3 20 1
          Colts W 9 6 66.67% 128 21.3 36 1
          AVG/Y/G
          Totals 77 47 61.04% 600 12.77 45 2 66.67
          LOSSES
          35 16 45.71% 140 8.75 34 0 35

The best thing the Chiefs did was to trade Tyreek Hill. And Hill BALLED OUT during the biggest moments in the playoffs, unlike Diggs who is a complete NON-FACTOR!!!

Shakir is a reliable pass catcher...as is Kincaid. They are budding stars. Here are the catch % stats for this season (including playoffs)....

          TGS REC Catch %
          Shakir 57 49 85.96%
          Cook 63 52 82.54%
          Kincaid 102 81 79.41%
          Diggs 177 117 66.10%
          Knox 39 24 61.54%
          Davis 81 45 55.56%

Diggs served his purpose in the development of Josh Allen. Josh does not need him anymore. Diggs cap hits for the rest of his contract are unsustainable. Bite the bullet and take the dead cap hits. The TEAM will be much better off without him.

Josh is now at the stage where HE makes a WR a star.
