    Next important hire: QB Coach

Seems that one is going to be next inline for OC in Buffalo: either Brady is fired or gets a HC job in relative short order ~2 years.

Maybe McDermott needs to look into Shanahan's or McVay's staff since there are a number of young minds coming from there. I don't want some re-cycled old minds. It should be a fairly attractive gig for the ambitious.

Doesn't matter who it is. Allen will make whoever it is look better than they actually are. They'll eventually land the OC role because Allen will give them his stamp of approval. And it will be a repeating cycle.

Remember Allen gave Dorsey his stamp of approval for the OC job as well.

I think you have to call Jordan Palmer and see if he is interested at all.

I’d also look at DeNarius McGhee with Houston who is an offensive assistant. He was credited with helping Davis Webb have success back in 2021 and has coached WR, OL, and RB as well with Houston.

Who took the role when Brady was promoted?

What exactly entails being a QB coach? Just helping break down film during the week, and plays on the side line?

I would assume Marc Lubiak our Asst QB coach. We also have former Vandy QB Kyle Shurmur on staff.

            Davis Webb.

Josh was on an upward trajectory, untii he left.
Daniel Jones played like a decent QB and got his extension.
Russell Wilson salvaged some respectability for the first three quarters of this season.

The guy has a resume', and he may be the person to get Allen back on track.

I think a QB coach can work on mechanics.

              Ball control.

              Looking off DBs.

              Audibles.

Not to mention working with the backups.

I think there are a lot of things a QB coach can work on.

It’s hard to see what you are doing right or wrong without another set of eyes. That’s what a QB Coach would do. Point out where tendencies are and to do what was mentioned , break down film and point out the good and bad.

                self criticism isn’t valuable.

Part of that is on the back-up, too.

Quit signing Josh's friends and bring in a guy to help him succeed. Josh needs his Frank Reich. That's why I push for Webb, it's the role he had in the QB room from a practice squad position, he certainly could be the same as a member of the staff.

I don’t disagree but I am more concerned with the wr coach. Why have they been running crap routes and not getting separation for 2 years running now ?
                    I came.
                    I saw.

It will be interesting to see if Brady is given any staff freedom to make changes. I wouldn’t be opposed to a new WR coach.

I also find it a little weird that our DB Coach is also our Passing Game Coordinator.

Pretty sure that's relative to pass defense, not the other side of the ball.

I’ve never seen that before, but that would at least make some sense.

I was going to suggest Webb.

I did notice that as soon as Brady took over OC, Josh was on the phone with someone (Brady I would assume?) after almost every offensive possession. I could be wrong, but I do not think I had ever seen Josh on the phone with anyone prior to this.

I could be wrong, if I am please correct me.

Davis Webb is QB coach in Denver. I doubt they'll let him make a lateral move to another team.
