Bills name Al Holcomb LB coach, Marcus West DL coach - NBC Sports (https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/bills-name-al-holcomb-lb-coach-marcus-west-dl-coach)

The Bills have filled a couple of open spots on their coaching staff.

The team announced on Friday that Al Holcomb will be their linebackers coach and that Marcus West will coach the defensive line. Former linebackers coach Bobby Babich moved to defensive coordinator earlier this week and former defensive line coach Eric Washington left to become the coordinator for the Bears.

Holcomb joined the Bills in 2023 as a senior defensive assistant. He was on the Panthers staff for three years before moving to Buffalo and closed out the 2022 season as the interim defensive coordinator. He also served as the Cardinals defensive coordinator in 2018 and has had stints with the Browns and Giants over the course of his NFL coaching career.

Promoting from within. Could be they truly deserve it or Pegs said no more money lol

Hopefully West can get more out his guys in the playoffs than we've seen in recent years.

Congratulations to this man! He’s going to be one of the best DL coaches this league has seen. His mindfulness is top notch and cannot wait to see his career bear fruit!

Hopefully he can get Jones to stay.

Obviously there is none of the doubts (like we mostly lamely see here) about McD where it matters....with Terry Pegula.

McD is firmly in control and his defensive scheme (which overall has been extremely successful) is here to stay.

Yup. I just wish the players could be healthy for the playoffs.

They didn't even acknowledge the 14 resumes I sent them for various positions. I find it hard to believe they're serious if I didn't even get 1 interview.

Thought for sure "Adept at directing positive synergies from dynamic proactive byplay to avert frivolous dalliance with nebulous periphery." was a good line. My felony convictions should hardly matter in these enlightened times for enthusiastic applicants.

So it goes.

The strength and conditioning coach position is not appreciated enough.

You better invest in the best or you are screwed just like the rest.
