49ers loss felt very Bills-ian—was their letting KC off the hook less/more egregious?

Had their shot at the 2min warning to close the game out, just like we did.

I never felt like Brock Purdy did anything all game any other mid tier QB could do. He's a solid NFL starter but nothing special. what is special is the team around him. CMC, his line, his WRs his defense. All were head and shoulders above him.

Purdy was poised but lacked the talent. Their O felt very limited in crunch time because Purdy can't make all the throws. Allen can throw anywhere in the zip code, but lacks the poise.

The Chefs dared Purdy to beat them just like they dared Garapolo in their last SB meeting.

Neither player has the ability to shoulder that kind of load hence Chefs 2-0 against them.

Josh is a freaking superhero and can beat anyone. He needs to act like Batman though and not Hulk SMASH.

Chiefs D made Purdy look human…like they do most QBs.

49ers lost that game when forgot to use CMC in the 3rd quarter. Two drives, 8 passes, two punts.

              Spagnolo blitzes work.

              McDermott blitzes don't.

This. Coaching idiocracy the same **** that brought the Ravens down and launched KC ahead...they beat themselves just like we did.

People making the excuse KC is just that good are wrong...they play smarter.

more like other teams play dumber. Chief opponents get inside their own heads against the big bad boogie man and end up defeating themselves.

Both the Ravens and 49ers definitely did it and to a lesser extent the Bills did it all in just this one playoff run. Teams did it for twenty years against the Patsies including in a Super Bowl where they were down 28-3 in the fourth quarter and won?!

This is very true as well!

They were taken to the woodshed 6 times this year.

The Lions, Broncos, Eagles, Packers, Bills and Raiders all beat them.

OK one team plays smarter one team plays dumber ... same result. The team with the dumber mentality needs a new brain before they will move forward.

Of course it would have been nice if the mental shift fully happened years ago. I’m personally heartened by the progress though, Josh started playing much more chill after Brady took over and McDermott has also shown signs of planning/in-game progress.
