Bills pass rusher Von Miller has slashed his 2024 compensation from $17.5 million to $8.855 million. He has an incentive package that can push his total payout to $20 million.
So what does Miller have to do to earn the incentives? As one league source said, “Be Von Miller.”
More specifically, here are the details of the incentives, per a source with knowledge of the terms.
He gets $1 million for two sacks. At four sacks, it increases to $2.5 million. With six sacks, it becomes $4 million. At eight sacks, $6 million.
He gets $8.645 million for 10.5 sacks. He gets $9.645 million for 15 sacks.

This is how every NFL Contract should work, IMO
This looks like very good news to me. Miller was improving and he still believes he can get it done on a high level -- to the point he's willing to help the team out and wager on it.
This is good. Stop *****ing about Von Miller the guy is a warrior and a great model to have on the team.
I appreciate Von's willingness to work with the team and bet on himself. This is a significant paycut considering the Bills didn't have any other good options with his contract. I like that Von is going to be highly motivated to return to greatness. Let's hope he earns it all back.

The people mad about the contract are complete idiots.

11 sacks baby. Make it so. Definitely doable as he should be one hundred percent by now.

So… what’s the penalty if he miraculously hits the milestones and it puts us over the cap?

If they structure it as a NLTBE incentive (Not Likely To Be Earned), then that incentive hits the cap in 2025.

It’d be great if he got to double-digit sacks but I think we’ll be lucky to get 3-5. Hope I’m wrong!
we win it all.
That's funny because when I saw that #### of 11 I also saw the year of Von Miller and him hoisting the Lombardi as Superbowl MVP after getting 2 sacks and his 12th in the game LOL.
I might be a miserable ***** but I can still dream.

Von is washed.
He wont' make even a fraction of his incentive based deal.
This is a rough game. When your body checks out, no amount of desire or willpower can beat father time.
