The Indianapolis Colts are expected to finalize a three-year, $70 million contract with star wide receiver Michael Pittman (https://www.nfl.com/players/michael-pittman-2/), NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Monday, per a source.
Rapoport added that Pittman's contract can be worth up to $71.5 million and includes $46 million guaranteed.
Pittman, who was given the franchise tag (https://www.nfl.com/news/colts-to-place-franchise-tag-on-wide-receiver-michael-pittman-jr) on March 5, could sign his new deal as early as Monday, per Rapoport. The deadline for signing franchise-tagged players to long-term deals is mid July.
