FRISCO, Texas - In 2018, the Dallas Cowboys (https://www.espn.com/nfl/team/_/name/dal/dallas-cowboys) drafted linebacker Leighton Vander Esch (https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/3138677/leighton-vander-esch) and wide receiver Michael Gallup (https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/4036348/michael-gallup) in the first and third rounds, respectively. On Friday, the Cowboys released both players, according to sources.
Vander Esch was released with a failed physical designation, while Gallup was listed as a post-June 1 cut. The Gallup decision opens up $9.5 million in cap space this season, but he will count $8.7 million against the 2025 salary cap.

Leighton and Edmunds were the “two” . LVE started out strong then developed Poslusznyitis. (Windshield in a hail storm)

he then resigned at a discount to be given the opportunity to prove he wasn’t a bust.
