Sweet. Another DT in the twilight of his career who probably won't make it the whole season.

We better freaking draft a block eater to develop. It's way past time to do so.

post 2 and 3 pretty much said it all. :D

Depth.

They need bodies, even if they draft a DT or two.

Yes. And I fully expect at least one DT drafted. Signed doesn't mean on the final 45

Exactly.

If they don't draft a DT I will be shocked.

I wouldn't be surprised if they pick one in the earlier rounds

We need a starter at WR2 and depth that gets playing time at DE and DT. To me those are the positions where we most need early contributions from our draft picks (and thus most likely will spend the 1-2 picks). There's not really another position where we a) don't have a reasonable starter or b) do have a starter but the backups play regularly.

We signed another DT to a 1 year deal. D-line might wait down the line come draft time.

SNIP

They did, and they might wait a few rounds but I personally wouldn’t bet on it. I see a 2nd round fatty coming our way.

These DT signings as others have mentioned are just rotational depth which of course are needed (and hopefully better than what we had last season) but we need a difference maker…a guy that demands a consistent double team lined up to next to Oliver? Yes please.

Shocking. From Carolina…

This one was only with them for a single season. Maybe Beanie is weaning of the Carolina teet…almost there.

If you're talking the draft it would be a big ? as we know McD hates to play rookies... it is rare. Still, DL is probably the easiest position to actually start a rookie imo. My guess is with all these 1 year signings (what is it, 8 now.. just off the top of my head) they are going to focus on O with the draft, and a couple of secondary guys.

We’ll see. With a trade down they could get three second rounders and get a WR, and two fatties one on either side of the ball.

The rookies that show promise are definitely going to play regardless of Mcd’s history…he knows his clock’s ticking and doesn’t have the luxury to develop guys over 2-3 seasons.

Odd. I did not hit one.

He has bounced around. A lot. Cut numerous times. Worked in a warehouse driving a forklift. But never gave up and has turned into a reliable depth NFL player.

Good for him. Gotta love the underdog stories like that …especially in Buffalo.

Well in the era of monster QB contracts there will be 1-2 stud contracts , rookie deals, contributing otherwise special teamers, and twilight 1 year contracts. This is the new norm for the Bills. Get used to it.

I like these aging 2 gapers who will become one gapers on a rotation here.

Buffalo is where DT come to die...

Yes they are physically not as powerful as they once were but they don't have to be with their part time and one gap resposibilities.
I think he can rotate with Oliver and Jones really nicely given the history.

I do think we need at least one rookie to join the rotation behind Daquan and one behind Oliver and phase these guys out....
But that is a two year process.

Huh???

You do not have a very good record (http://www.billszone.com/fanzone/showthread.php/264033-Frank-Clark-worth-a-look?p=5049821&viewfull=1#post5049821) of judging talent or predicting who is going to be a starter much less who is going to make the team.

Yeah....last year (in August) you were whining that Terrell Bernard and O'Cyrus Torrence were a "misuse of the draft" because you said they are not starting.
