This guy compiled some interesting stats.

3000 plus yard difference in YAC.

54% of Mahomies yards were YACs
40% of Josh’ were YACs

Ya our receiver room was fine and didn’t need an overhaul. :lmao:

Seems to me the biggest difference was Mahomes passing plays were to guys in space or slanting. Josh primarily at sideline. The wr room the last season in KC wasn’t awesome. You had a TE hit on timing plays (yes that is why he’s always open) and that 3 yard pass turned into 8-10 yards.

Dggs big YAC play was down field double covered with a third closing. All 3 bounced off each other and Diggs scampers for monster gain and TD.

KC plays are built for YAC. Buffalo played for first downs

Kelce is the straw that stirs for the dudes.

He gets open often and the YACs it up. We need to get that going by committee if not a single player.

Maybe the lack of YAC is on Josh.

The timing plays to Kelce are just that he cuts and turns ball is already there in stride most times. Edelman used to do the same thing. The Dorsey playbook was always short comeback to the ball, flat , or outside. It’s like the Sabres… no one in front of the net or in this case, between the numbers. Diggs under Daboll would be open in space… he would gain yards then surrender. Last season he caught the ball at the beginning of the tackle. Or heading toward sideline.

Mahomes throws way more timing routes whereas Josh throws to a space. Different offenses.

Problem is, our WR room didn’t get an overhaul. An overhaul is two parts: a breakdown and a rebuild. OBD can’t do the rebuild part cuz of the cap.

Maybe the lack of YAC is on Josh.

His timing with throws is often late and forced but his arm is so good he still fits the ball in.

Mahomes sees the play before his guy gets open and puts the ball in the right spot.

That is Josh Allen's biggest weakness and it's what keeps him from being in the GOAT conversation. If he improves his vision and throws guys open instead of throwing late to an open guy, look out.

What narrow minded BALONEY!!!!!

The best way to "rebuild" the WR when an expensive elite, franchise GREAT QB is already on the roster, is THROUGH THE DRAFT!!!!!

The Bills already started that process with two very good draft picks. Shakir and Kincaid.

no. advanced stats seem to indicate josh was the most accurate (ball placement) qb in the league last year. the problem was his guys barely were getting open (bottom 4 in the league i think) according to PFF. so not only was josh the best ball placement qb in the league last year, he was doing it into the 4th tightest windows. mahomes was throwing to the most open wrs in the league last year (his ball placement was excellent too, right behind josh)

yeah, josh had a lot of picks, but also according to pff he threw the lowest % interceptable passes in the league last year. trick is the int rate of his "interceptable passes" was almost double the rate of no.2 on that list. in short, josh got stupid unlucky with a lot of DBs LBs and DL displaying unusually sticky fingers last year. that's a statistical anomaly. every QB throws mindblowingly stupid passes, josh was snakebitten last year, and almost all of them were picked.

I'm sorry, but the QB josh looks like to me is one of the top 3 guys in the league on any given sunday, and that's just counting his passing. I think the fanbase shows some shockingly weird blinders when it comes to josh. dude is in the prime of his career and is at the top of the league.
