2024 NFL Draft- Day 2 quick-snap grades for all 32 teams (https://www.nfl.com/news/2024-nfl-draft-day-2-quick-snap-grades-for-all-32-teams)

Immediate draft grades provide a foundation for future evaluations. Waiting three years to assess draft classes without accounting for how the decision was viewed at the time usually leads to revisionist history.

These 2024 NFL Draft (https://www.nfl.com/draft/tracker/picks/) quick-snap grades reflect the value I think each pick (or set of picks) has, given the slot and the prospect's college film/athleticism scores. Trades, and the capital exchanged (both picks and players), are factored into these grades as well, as they also play a significant part in determining the future of a franchise.

We scored a B for our 1st round action with an A- after day 2. Click the link and review all grades.

2023: First-team All-ACC. Won ACC Jim Tatum Award as the conference's top scholar-athlete. Finalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy (aka "the Academic Heisman"). Started all 13 games (41 tackles, 3.5 TFL with 1 sack, 4 PBUs). First 3-year team captain in school history.

Still prioritizing the maintenance of a slightly above-average defensive line over everything else, including the offensive line - which is always an afterthought.

My report card: D-

1st round: failure to move up for BTJ when he hit 20. Trading with Chiefs on principle. Passing on Legette. Grade: D

2nd/3rd Round:
Coleman - bust city. F
Bishop- can’t cover. C-
Carter- “high motor” no pass rush ability. There were 10 better DT. C-

This draft, the Stefon Diggs extension/trade, Kaiir Elam, along with the step back we will take this year might be the end of the McBeane era.

When BTJ "hit 20", was there a trade partner?

There’s always a partner if you offer well enough.

So I'm not going to respect your grade of a D- because a "well enough" offer for BTJ has no starting point.

you expect me to know what teams were asking for around 20? Oooook.

I don’t much care if you “respect” the grade. D- is generous.

There’s always a deal to be made if you want to bad enough. There were trades at 17 and 24 that were Very reasonable. Again, if you want to go from 28 to 30, someone will bite if you make a good enough offer.

You have absolutely no way to know that.

You have absolutely no way to know that.

You don't know that it was possible - for a reasonable price. Yet you gave it a D- anyway.

No we don’t expects you to know what teams were asking but that’s the point you don’t have the knowledge on who wanted what, any of the skills of these players or what went into any of the decisions of the draft either. None of us on this board do, we can like the picks or not like the picks right? Hell in some cases either do teams look at the picks of Leaf and Rosen, it’s all a crap shoot! We read all the sites and think we have a clue we don’t, you don’t, I don’t, none of us. We all have opinions and you know what they say about opinions! Hell, if you’re being honest, like most of us you probably didn’t see most of the 257 prospects play or even heard of most of them expect what you read in the last month or two.
I respect your opinion but it’s not based on any real knowledge, either do I. Now ask me about air traffic and I can use my 42 years of experience to give you a pretty knowledgeable answer.
