The Bills-Broncs game will much closer than everyone thinks

Most people seem to think that the Broncos are superior to the Bills but you have to remember that they were just a .500 ballclub last year, so I am not ready to pencil them into the SB just yet. They have had two good wins but lets face it, The Rams are on the downswing, still suffering from a SB hangover, and the 49'ers have more to prove yet also.

I am not convinced that Griese is all that consistently good either. If the Bills shut down the run, of which I think they will do a much better job than everyone predicts, then they will have a good chance in this game.

I know that our last games have been wild and wacky and leave plenty for everyone to criticize but that is what makes this team so dangerous. You don't know what is going to happen from one minute to the next. For all we know, this team could go in and cream the Broncs. I honestly feel that we are going to win this game. Just my thoughts, I will now crawl back under my rock

I just don't think my heart can stand the stress making it to OT in the last couple seconds again this week. And then the stress of sudden death. *sigh* But a win is a win and I'll take it. Health be damned.

That's what I've been saying all along - the Broncos are getting fat on teams that are supposed to have offenses, but really haven't proven anything - Has Marshall Faulk rushed for over 100 yards yet? The Niners struggled to score against the Giants - I know the Giants have a solid D, but last year, that game would have been a fat lopsided 30 something to 10 at the most victory for the 49ers. Another thing I saw was the Broncos Defense was gambling big last week against the niners - they would have too many people back away from the line if they though it was a passing play - they do that against us, and we give Travis Henry one escort down the field - we're gonna eat them alive. When they think it's a run play, they throw everything but the kitchen sink at you - that means Price, Moulds, Reed, Riemersma will have a very good day - kinda sounds like our D doesn't it - but again, they got to play teams that really haven't proven themselves offensively yet this season. They're linebackers also either all rush in at the same time, or they all drop back into pass coverage too - Shanahan has this team gambling a little too much if you ask me.

Chris Collinsworth picked the Broncos to win, but he stated that he WOULD NOT be surprised at all if the Bills were to win. I too think that the Bills could very well win.

Anything is possible... that's why the game is played.

If there's one thing I've learned from watching football all these years is that the minute you think you can bank on something the opposite happens.

Everybody is talking like the Broncos are the best team in the league and are ready to hand them the Vince. As if we have no chance to stop their offense and our punter will be our MVP.

This game seems ripe for a let down. I don't know if we'll win or not but it's going to be a slugfest the whole way.

Next year is our year. I don't think we match up very well against Denver. They just beat two teams with the best offenses in the NFL. And they run the ball well. I agree with wys, I'm just not as verbose.

WRONG! They beat two teams that are SUPPOSED to have good maybe great offenses, but have yet to establish themselves. The 49ers and Rams both played the same two teams after week 2 - the Giants and the Broncos. The Rams lost both games, and really didn't have that much of an offensive showing. The 9ers pulled off a squeaker against the Giants. Denver doesn't really play that sound of a defense if you've seen them on film - they either flood the secondary, or rush the quarterback with everything they've got. If we were to use some kind of a flood an area of the field in the secondary, to make them send everyone deep, and keep Riemersma, or Centers in the area where the Linebackers are supposed to be with one on one coverage (if any), we'll be able to beat their defense - we already know that we've got the personell. As far as establishing the run, we could use delayed handoffs, and use playaction frequently to try to draw some people off double coverage off Price and Moulds. Fact of the matter is, THIS IS A VERY WINNABLE GAME FOR US!
