The opening week of fantasy football for BFZ staff members kicked off, and what a week it was! For starters, in a nail biting game where the difference between the victorious team and the losing team came down to 1 single ff point!.... JJ'S RENEGADES (JJamezz) were away playing at CLUMPING PLATELETS ( CP ) home field... and both teams didn't dissapoint. Led by T.Henry and S.Davis, who combined for 33 points, JJ's backfield was productive enough to win it easily but a very dissapointing showing by his wideouts made the game closer than it should (Q.Morgan + D. Driver combined for a very pitiful 3 points)... on the other hand, CP's team wasn't gonna give up easily and it showed through the production of his backfield too. Alexander and George combined for a solid 29 points, and his WR's awarded him with a respectable 14 points and what complicated things more was the fact that CP got an outstanding showing from his D (BUCS - D) who shutout the eagles and scored 20 points. But at the end, the risky decision of starting K.Holcombe at QB proved to be too costly for any team to handle and especially his, in this tight game situation where his QB didn't produce and scored an embaressing 3 points. A great game indeed but at the end, the visiting team got away with a very valuable win that could help him push for a playoff spot later on.. these close games are vital.73-72 for JJ's team was the final score.
In other games..Wys's WRs proved to be too much as they combined for 30 points to lead him to a 74-52 victory over Nbf's team who got a dissapointing showing from his 1st rd. pick Faulk...Mike's team, led by Maddox and the Giants D (combined for 51 points) got an easy win over Gunz's team 105-64.....Log's pink flamingos got an outstanding showing from his star Priest Holmes beating MARAUDING MONKS (Bufftp) 67-50....Dozer playing at home, was victorious as his Bills D and Ahman Green were too much for Ebenezer Norsemen (EB) who got a dissapointing showing from his D (packers = 4 points) and his kicker (Akers=0)....Puny Humans (Typicalbill) led by Clinton Portis and Alge Crumpler looked very sharp in his quest to lead his team to the safe land as he rolled over Drunken Destroyers(Cntrygal) 105-43.
