    Players could barely hear the heads hitting

    St. Louis -- If they keep playing football like this in the NFL, someone is going to get hurt.

    The 49ers, most of them playing in helmets, sustained at least two first- half concussions on their way to an overtime loss to the Rams in the House of Din, a.k.a. the Edward Jones Dome.

    Jeff Garcia went down. Terrell Owens went down. And Cedric Wilson was hit so hard his helmet ran for a first down without him. (Upon further review, his concussion was downgraded to a tropical depression.)

    "They were layin' it on us," Garcia noted.

    As long as the hits are clean, I don't care how hard they get hit. If they don't want to get hit, go play tennis.

      Also, if visiting teams don't plan out hand signals for stadiums with domes (or because of loud fans - ie. Buffalo), they deserve not to be heard.
