I've watched Drew ardently over the past 5 or 6 seasons. One of the things that troubled me when bringing him here was his knack of making huge errors when the game was on the line the most.
That has been far from reality here in Buffalo. He has played virtually flawlessly w/ a brief flash of one INT that was his fault v. the Jets. He's been put in a position to make the plays to keep us close in every single game this year and has responded very favorably.
He's among the top QBs in the league!
Why? IDK other than to speculate that between his potentially life-threatening injury last year, a change of pace and challenge to his starter status, and the degree to which Buffalo is a great place to play pro football, I think it's created a change in him that is inexplicable for any other reasons.
Drew has played much, much better than I anticipated he would. He's the only reason we're 1-2 and not 0-3 and he's the primary reason we've been in close games.
