All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
It was a very unadvertised game due to two facts: 1. It's a preseason exhibition match, and 2. It was played down in Binghamton, the minor league affiliate of the Senators.
Although the Sabres lost in overtime, both Noronen and Miller played great games. Andrew Peters, the Sabres young tough-man, really buffed up over the season and clearly one in the fight he ahd against ummm, (I think his name is Magahee?).
Good game and be sure to watch the Sabres documentary on Empire Sports Network tonight, I think it is on a 7. It will talk about the upcoming season and talk about times of the past in the old Memorial Auditorium.

That'd be McGratton and Brookbank.
I caught the clip of the first fight online, and Peters certainly looked dominate. He's pushing 247 pounds on a 6'4" frame right now and learned to punch better (and more efficiently) in the offseason. This kid could be a force if he keeps at it.
He's been working hard for years down with the Amerks, and I give him credit for sticking with it. Peters has really grown into and embraced his role as an enforcer.

Still No Miro Satan..
That guy was Paul Gaustad. He's a big, gritty centerman that would make a great third line center (fourth at the very least) for this team in a year or two. I would say that he reminds me the most of Dave Scatchard if I had to pick out an NHL player.
As for Drury, he sat out for the first game along with a number of the other regulars. Most of the starters will play about half the preseason games.
