2007 Super Bowl awarded to Miami

DAVIE -- Pro Player Stadium will play host to the 2007 Super Bowl, NFL owners announced Wednesday.
Miami has hosted the Super Bowl eight times, more than any city except New Orleans, which has had nine. The game was last played in Pro Player Stadium in 1999.

"Miami sells itself," Dolphins President Eddie Jones said. "We've got more hotel rooms than anybody, we've got good weather and we've got a good stadium."

No team has appeared in a Super Bowl in its home stadium, something Miami will attempt to do in four years.

Well, that's OK...I have never forgiven the NFL for putting SB's in domed stadiums.

I hate watching SB's that are indoors... I'm glad ours was outside :)
