STOCKHOLM, Sweden - Alexander Mogilny, back in the city where he defected 14 years ago, scored two goals and set up another as the Toronto Maple Leafs beat Farjestad, 3-0, in the NHL Challenge.
Toronto completed its first ever tour in the Nordics with a 3-0 record, having beaten Jokerit, 5-3, in Helsinki, Finland, on Tuesday, and Djurgarden, 9-2, in Stockholm on Thursday.

"I have great memories of Stockholm . . . beautiful city and nice people," said Mogilny, who defected to the United States the day after helping the Soviet Union win the 1989 World Championships at the same arena where the Maple Leafs played the last two games.

Mogilny, who signed with the Buffalo Sabres after defecting, scored the first goal at 16:18 in the second period when he came off the bench and took a perfect pass from Swedish rookie Pierre Hedin just inside the blue line. He skated in all alone and beat goalie Fredrik Eriksson with a low wrister.

"I wasn't sure he would see me, but I'm glad he did," said Mogilny.
