WASHINGTON – When the NFL owners met here yesterday, they voted to continue funding the World League, to award the 2007 Super Bowl to South Florida and took steps to put heat on New York/New Jersey officials to improve Giants Stadium if they want the next one.
The subject of the NFL returning to Los Angeles? It wasn't on the agenda, and as far as many owners are concerned, out of sight is out of mind – at least for now.
In the four months since the NFL expressed its explicit interest in Carson along with the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, little has happened regarding the league's desire to return to Los Angeles for the first time since 1994....
