While it is clear the offensive line is not opening up holes for Henry, it didn't really do that last year either and his performance was clearly better.

What has in the past made Henry stand out was his ability to squeeze out the extra yards after taking some hits. However over the offseason he lost some weight, at least ten pounds, to get faster and hopefully break some big runs like he did in the pre-season.

I think this has really made him easier to tackle. He goes down almost always on the first hit. He was never a smart back in terms of hitting holes just right, and having the right timing and all that, he was the spiky bowling ball, now he's not even that though.

You know who Travis Henry reminds me of? Barry Foster of the Steelers in the early 90s.

how about an old buffalo bill remember terry miller he hadone great season then was average and its not just this year read this quote from buffalo news

Henry has run the ball 103 times over the last five regular-season games, better than 20 carries a start. Eliminate Sunday's loss at Miami, in which he ran just five times before leaving with a rib injury, and Henry has averaged about 25 carries the last four times out. That equates to the workload of a franchise back. What the Bills have realized in return is production on par with the bottom-feeders of NFL running backs. Henry has amassed 248 yards and a 2.4 yards average over those five games. His 2.3 average this season is the lowest of any back among the top 30 in yards gained. He hasn't had a run of longer than 11 yards since Week 14 last season.
