Lots of cool stuff will go on during the season as well- like the All-Star challenge!

Just like last season, after the NHL all-stars are announced, the league will be divided and those with all star players will select a team- the two team's stats from the all star game and the winning side will split $10,000 zonebucks (1,000 per winning owner)

There will also be league updates periodically by moi, Don Cherry himself.

So get off your fat rear ends and get signed up! The draft will take place 72 hours after we get the 20th team or just before the season starts- whichever happens first.

Remember- the season is long, and the best teams are those who pay attention to their teams at least once or twice a week. The league is set up so you can set your rosters daily as many days in advance as you wish.

Only serious players- don't make me come over the boards and bash yer' skulls in for quittin' on me 1 month into the season.

Have fun!!!!

I would join if it was a live draft.

With 10 teams, it's nearly impossinble to get them together for a draft- with 20- it's a disaster-this way everyone starts at a disadvantage!

How many people were in this league last year? 20 people seems like a lot of people. Everybody will be spread out.

Well, Sixteen signed up in a day or two- but we started it in November.

I reduced the roster size by 4 players from last season- anybody can have 2-3 studs and run away with it. I like the larger approach, you have to find and play the right middle of the pack guys instead of just watching 3 guys do all the work.

I'm in, the Cheektowaga Bobcats!

BTW, is there a way to rank players? Or are we not ranking

I assume that you will rank your players- Yahoo did it like that last year.

Well, I'm in... I wasn't in last year, and I don't really know any of you, but I'm in all the same. Check out my wallpapers on UltimateSabres.com.

Ok, there is only one wallpaper, but more are on the way... I'm doing a Mika Noronen one next, any requests??

Anybody see BironsGirl around on the net? Get her over here- she was a contender last season.

Does that take you a lot of time? Are there a lot of games in that league? Do you have to update your roster very often?

Well, I'd join but I really don't have much time :crazed:

Good players will dedicate a half yo 1 hour a week after hte draft. Some of the nerds will spend a lot more time.

Basically, if you are pressed for time, 15 minutes at the beginning of the week is all you need to set your rosters for 5-10 days in advance. it's also a good idea to pop in for 5-10 minutes every few days to make sure the players you have are actually playing (injuries, suspentions, demoted to the minors).

I travel some with work, so last season I would set up my roster up to 2 weeks in advance, and tweak accordingly.

But it does require your attention between now and March...fellow league players frown upon guys who neglect or abandon their teams.
