Smith ejected for hitting official

Denver Broncos receiver Rod Smith was ejected in the second quarter Monday night against Oakland after accidentally hitting an official.

Smith got tangled with Oakland defensive tackle Chris Cooper after a 6-yard reception, then took a wild swing with his fist while trying to break free. Smith missed Cooper and hit umpire Undrey Wash in the face on the followthrough.
