    Joe Burns

It's time to move on and concentrate on our running game. This week Burns starts. My observation of him at camp is that he almost looked as good as Henry out there. It's hard to say if Henry or the OL was the problem. We will see if Burns can find the holes that Henry couldn't.

If he does give us a running game, there could be some questions about Henry.

Signed with the Bills as an undrafted rookie free agent in April of 2002 and went on to earn a spot on the 53-man roster.

He's averaging 3.2 yds. Let's see what he can do given 20 carries. Hopefully, he'll have just as much success as Henry in the Redzone. Let's hope that Gilbride doesn't make him throw in the endzone.

Burns did look good in the preseason. I hope he fills in for Henry nicely, and not get "burned" like Henry did against the Jags and Phins.

I have all the confidence that he will either do as well or even better than Henry. Gary also looked impressive in preseason but lost the spot to Burns. Burns also gives us extra catching hands on the field. I really wouldn't look into throwing to him (unless we have to) since our depth at rb went south.

Rather than start another thread, this question is OT, have we thrown Coleman into the wr mix in any game? Thoughts?

Burns should be fine, and at any rate couldn't do any worse. Buff might want to consider a couple more screens, quick slant hits off play action to open up the running game too....

Joe Burns will have a good game because he plays within himself. He isn't looking over his shoulder and sees the holes better than Henry, though henry might be the more gifted athlete. Look for a big game by Mighty Joe Burns!

By the way, if Josh Reed doesn't start performing better I would think hard about bringing in Coleman..at least we would add that much needed deep threat.

I like Burns alot, the coaches love him too! In preseason, GW said that it seemed that every time JB was in there, he made something happen. I think he may be the answer to our running problems for now. Hurry up and heal WM!!!
Leads? Yeah, sure. I'll...uh...just check with the boys down at the crimelab. Yeah, they got four more detectives on the case....we're working in shifts!"

I'm not jumping off of TH's bandwagon just yet, but I mean c'mon!
All this talk about wanting to break OJ's mark, and the comments in ESPN, and his f@#kin mom talking smack, I really am starting to lose my "HENRY RULES!" attitude. He's not finding holes, and granted, the O-line aint helping but great backs make yards, they don't get them gift wrapped. Go JB!!! WM, I look forward to the day you walk out on to the field with your uniform on!!!!!

Great points..the good backs make their own holes for sure!
