    Buffalo sabres scrap book

I'm going to fill this thread with Sabres stuff from a long time ago- Got stuff? Put it up!

    Got Sabres memories? Add them!

let's see how long this will go

    I'll go first...Schoney!!

I remember , a few days after christmas, 1994. My dad just had a hear tattack, and I grabbed the first flight home. I was watching Hockey on ESpn, and Jim was the color studio analyst (now held by mullett boy) -

I live in Springfield, MA and the ESPN Studios are 30 miles down the road.Hartford and Springfield share the same airport. While waiting for the plane, (empty, 20 passengers on a direct flight to Buffalo) Schoney sat there waiting to board.

I told him why I was heading back, and mentioned that my dad was a fan of his ever since he curled with him at the Buffalo Curling club in Schoney's rookie season. He remembered that day and gave some encouraging words.

Well, my Pops recovered fully, and 4 days later Schonfeild got the Captals head coaching job.

Wow, they had some funky looking cards back then.

If only I were old enough to know the french connection...

I may be mistaken, but the Amerks wear a separate jersey in warmups...judging by the crowd there, it may be warmups.
