Buffalo Bills

Post Mortem-
The depleted Eagles team was ripe for the plucking, but the Bills failed to capitalize. Just as in the previous week against Miami, the Bills failed to generate more than a handful of plays in the first quarter, exposing their defense to another 40 plus minute afternoon. This begs the question – why didn't the Buffalo Bills attack the depleted Eagle secondary? The Bills could not muster any running game, and with Joe Burns in the line up, the threat wasn't even there. With Philly pulling guys off of the streets to fill the secondary- one wonders why the Bills did not try to overload the circuits by running a true run- and- shoot, 4 wide offense. Gilbride ran that for years in Houston, it could have been just the tonic to ail the hurting Bills. But instead of exploiting a major weakness, they stubbornly stuck to what just didn't work. The back breaker for the second consecutive week was the inability of the Bills to stop the opposition from grinding out a late score to kill the clock. Brian Westbrook broke a 63 yard run to seal the Bills' fate.

You forgot this part..

"Buffalo will get back on track this week- Takeo Spikes will bring the pain train to the Ralph and introduce himself again with his former squad. I fully expect the Bills offense to rid itself of the funk it has been in for 14 days . Buffalo puts away a competitive but overmatched Bengals squad, 23-17."

This kind of evens it out.
