I wonder what spin he put on the loss of Begin? Obviously we could only protect so many players, but still.

He played off the Begin loss, saying that he could only protect so many players and they chose to go that route. When Howard Simon asked him what the fourth line would look like without Begin in the mix, he replied, "We're probably looking at Adam Mair, Andrew Peters, and Eric Boulton." Now that's a nasty line.

Howard then asked him who has had the most surprising camp. He came back and said Andrew Peters. They had expected Peters to come in as a potential player for toughness, but they all thought he had a very outside chance of making the team. But he bulked up and learned to fight better in the offseason. He made the necessary moves to make the club and has been very impressive thus far (I can't help but agree).

When asked about Afinogenov, he said they're starting to see the old Max again.

He also said that Zhitnik's been having a sensational camp and has been hitting the net on a regular basis. Howard asked him if Zhitnik would be traded at the deadline so the team could get a return before he turns UFA. Regier then said they would like to deal with Zhitnik post UFA status.

Basically, that was the whole of it.

Nothing too enlightening, but interesting comments on Peters and Zhitnik nonetheless.
