TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- Peyton Manning refused to give up.


An interception went awry for the Colts when Mike Doss fumbled and Keenan McCardell picked it up and ran for a touchdown.

With Indianapolis down three touchdowns against the NFL's stingiest defense with four minutes left in regulation, the Colts quarterback pulled off one of the greatest comebacks in league history Monday night.

"I never lost confidence. Silly me - after the game was 14-0 very early, I fell asleep on the couch and woke up just in time for the final play of the game - FG in OT - COLTS WON!!! How freaking awesome! 35-14 with 4 minutes to go? Who would have guessed? :up:

Perhaps the greatest late-game comeback in NFL history should not have happened. The NFL acknowledged Tuesday that game officials erred last week in allowing Indianapolis to recover an onside kickoff during its comeback from a 21-point deficit in the final four minutes against Tampa Bay.

After the Colts scored to cut their deficit to 35-21 with 3:37 remaining in the fourth quarter, Mike Vanderjagt popped up a short kickoff and Indianapolis' Idrees Bashir leaped above several Tampa Bay players and caught the ball in the air at his own 42-yard line.

Indianapolis then drove 58 yards for a touchdown, scored again in the last minute, and won the game in overtime 38-35....
