Abraham reaches plea deal on DWI bust

Jets defensive end John Abraham, who was arrested for driving while intoxicated last week after a one-car accident in Baldwin, L.I., reached a plea-bargain agreement yesterday with the prosecution, according to the player's attorney.
Abraham, scheduled to make an appearance today in Hempstead District Court, will plead guilty to the lesser charge of driving while impaired, attorney Brian Davis said. The penalty is a fine ($300 to $500) and a 90-day suspension of his license, although he could be allowed to drive to and from work. He also agreed to alcohol counseling.

Abraham still faces likely disciplinary action from the Jets. Herman Edwards hasn't revealed his plans, but there's a good chance he will deactivate Abraham for Sunday's home game against the Bills.
