NEW YORK -- The NFL will give $5 million to several organizations in lower Manhattan, including hospitals and parks, to help the area recover from the World Trade Center attacks.
NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue, Mayor Michael Bloomberg and state Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver announced the grants Tuesday.
