BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Buffalo Bills rookie Willis McGahee passed a physical on his injured left knee Tuesday, one of the final steps that would allow the running back to begin practicing as early as next week.

Drew Rosenhaus, McGahee's agent, said his client's knee was "nearly equivalent" to full strength after being examined by John Uribe in Miami. Uribe is the University of Miami team physician who surgically repaired the three torn ligaments McGahee sustained during the Hurricanes' loss to Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl last January.

Also on hand for the examination, which featured a series of strength tests, was McGahee's physical therapist, Ed Garabedian....

McGahee passes physical

McGahee
Willis McGahee's injured left knee passed a physical on Oct. 7, one of the final steps that would allow the running back to begin practicing as early as next week. McGahee's agent Drew Rosenhaus said his client's knee was "nearly equivalent" to full strength after being examined by John Uribe in Miami. "Willis' trainer and doctor appear to feel comfortable with him moving ahead with practice," Rosenhaus said. "It was a successful visit and he's on his path to an amazing recovery … There doesn't appear to be any reason not to go ahead with this."

Good news, not just because the bills are ranked about last in the NFL in rushing but because this guy made alot of money for the NCAA as well as the Miami Hurricane football program. When I saw the injury the first thing I thought was career ending. For him to get a second chance at making a living and feeding his family while doing what he loves to do is a blessing and we all wish him sucess.:afro: Much Love Bro

Thai,

I am offended and incensed by your use of that female image in your avatar-signature. Why does she have a top on?

Why is she smiling is a better question.

Reading into the article, I take the comment of Drew Rosenhaus that the Bills approved of this physical to mean that the Bills gave McGahee permission to go have it done. I don't think it really means anything to the Bills. The Bills will have their own doctors look at it and decide McGahee's fate accordingly. Bottom line is that this is just more of Drew's incorrigible grandstanding. That said, I'm optimistic that Willis will be activated by the Bills and will play a limited role at running back this year.

This is good news, but Donahoe will not comment on the issue until he is passed by Buffalo team doctors. Still, McGahee will require at least 2 weeks for practice and the Bills do not even have to activate him for 3 weeks after he clears the PUP list. Unless something happens to Henry, I say we won't see McGahee until the Dallas game after the bye.

I hope we don't see him until next July/August.
