While the Broncos spent the weekend in Kansas City, defensive tackle Daryl Gardener spent it in a Denver-area hospital.
Gardener admitted himself last weekend after his body temperature hovered at 104 degrees and his throat closed up.
Coach Mike Shanahan said Gardener was discharged Monday, but Gardener's long-awaited Denver debut might be on hold even longer.
"Anything is possible," Shanahan said Monday, one day after Denver's 24-23 loss to Kansas City. "I don't know what his status is. I just know he had strep throat, just got out of the hospital and we'll have a chance to see what he looks like."
