Jim Walsh, of the Arizona Republic, reports Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Michael Pittman was indicted on a third domestic violence charge Tuesday, Oct. 7, as a repeat offender, based on his two previous convictions on domestic violence charges during the summer of 2001 in Tempe Municipal Court. The new charge, aggravated domestic violence, is a Class 5 felony and calls for a minimum sentence of four months in jail and a maximum sentence of two years in jail. Pittman already was facing a five- to 15-year sentence on each of two domestic violence charges stemming from his May 31 arrest by Phoenix police at his Ahwatukee Foothills home. Pittman was arraigned Tuesday morning on the new charge, and his next court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 3.
