I just saw this in the D&C's special section today. On their depth chart, they put Flowers at DT next to PW. They said most of the line was up for grans in camp, but that at the start of camp Flowers will be playing DT. I don't remember ever hearing this anywhere else... has anyone heard anything about this before?

hope he adds about 30 lbs if thatsa the case....didn't he lose a buunch of weight for last season to "make him quicker"?

NO way Flowers ever makes it as a DT. He has trouble keeping his weight at 260, let alone 285+.

he'd have to put on 30-40 pounds to have the size.otherwise,he'll get swallowed up by the big O-linemen.

It's bad enough he gets thrown around like a rag doll at the DE position. I couldn't imaging him at DT. What's next, Mike Williams returning kickoffs?

Never know, don. In pregame warmups last night, Fred Smerlas and Jim Ritcher were catching passes from AVP while Pete Metzelaars was dropping everything thrown to him. :D

The D&C does it again, totally inept reporting. Any educated sportswriter should have picked that one up.

Flowers would get abused at DT.

Right, he isn't big enough to hold up against the run at DE, but he will at DT.
