This is the second time that I have brought this up.

I believe that this is the best guy for the job.

Go Hawkeyes!!! I agree, but he is the man we need. Complete disipline. EVERY penalty he pulls out his little disipline list and writes down the name. He is all a bout disipline. He will either lead IOWA to a NC or a NFL team to a SB. He is THAT good. And he has heard of special teams

We don't have the time to wait on a college coach to learn the NFL ropes. We have a small window with our current talent and we need a coach who is up to speed NOW!!!!

I would take an experianced College coach before a coordinator any day. Ferentz has NFL experiance just not as a head coach. What would we take a loosing NFL coach>>>>???

Ted Cottrell would look great cruising our sidelines again.

BTW Ferentz was the Ravens O=Line coordinator before turning the Iowa program around.

Ravens did not have a powerhouse O-line back in his day.

See the Hawkeye faithful do not want to give him up! He would come in and revamp the O-Line, commit to the run, commit to the special teams, commit to the defense.

He would be the best choice,.

Boy oh boy you all will regret the times you say Ferentz inexperianced. Now 9 in both polls.

NO. Writing down names when they get penalties is not the way to impress, motivate or discipline multimillion dollar PRO football players. I suppose he would make the players miss supper if they were late to a meeting. The only thing worse than a college coach would be Schottenheimer.

Kirk Ferentz looks a lot better than GW.

A. HEAD Coaching experience and SUCCESS at big college program

B. NFL experience: Assistant Head Coach in NFL and o-line coordinator

C. Has teams characterized by efficiency and by not beating themselves.

D. Understands Offensive Line

E. Under 50

F. Considered one of the hottest NFL head coaching prospects

G. His idol was Joe Paterno

How many people have this kind of resume without being a guy that failed at another NFL team?!

I agree, Kirk Ferentz.

He is too much of a players coach and is too nice! We need a hard nosed SOB like a Parcells type or maybe Gruden-type.

How about Bobby Ross? When did he REALLY have any talent to work with before. I'm told, by a good friend who's uncle worked with Ross, that Ross is REAL intense, and doesn't take **** from anyone...no matter HOW BIG the contract is.

About Ferentz, he won't be available until after the season. Suppose we could use D.L. as a caretaker head coach until then.

I tell you what, our o-line would be kicking some tail. We also wouldn't be underachievers.
