Each one of those guys had his job threatened outwardly in NYC. Bills fans, that is what good coaching will get you. That is what motivation and being a leader allows. A coach willing to sit players down and make personnel changes when the situation dictates ... and in the end it results in this kind of output:
On our side, we have a coach that has never stood up and taken the heat, always preferring to defer it to "poor execution".
On their side, they have a coach willing to stand up and voluntarily bench one of their stars. Despite, I might add, being on the hot seat in the media capital of the world.
On their side, they have a head coach whose team regularly is one of the least penalized teams in football.
On our side, our coach talks about teaching and discipline but heads a group at the bottom of penalties.
On their side, they have a team debilitated by free agency and injuries.
On our side, All-Pros and All-Pro wannabes that fail to show up week after week.
And it's tough to know, we could have had Edwards as our head coach. Or Gruden. Or Parcells.
