Great lines determine your ability utilize the skilled positions, and great line play can compensate regularly for weakness at the skill positions, but bad line play minimizes the effectiveness of the highly skilled skill positions.
A great run blocking o-line can turn a mediocre running into a good one, conversely a very good running back will often look very average behind a bad line, (if not get killed).
Same with quarterbacks, and on the d-side cornerbacks and linebackers.
So what’s up with our lines, lack of talent, has the front office ignored them too long, is it coaching, how do we fix it? Line play involves heart and a determination that says you will win each and every battle, it takes heart to be one of the best lines, do our lineman have what it takes?
