After this latest incident with Randy Moss, I decided I'd go back over some of the reasons I'm glad we have Eric Moulds, and not some of the other elite receivers in the league.

Let's see...where to begin....

Randy Moss:
- Was the highest paid player in the league when he signed his new contract, yet still will only play when he feels like it.
- Has been in trouble with the law multiple times.
- Openly fights with Teammates on the sidelines.
- Whines whenever he doesn't get the ball enough.
- Takes up so much salary cap space, that the Vikes can't afford a defense
- Runs over women with his SUV

Terrell Owens:
- The 49ers have a winning record, but TO is still griping about not getting the ball enough. This would be acceptable if the niners had a bad record and weren't producing on offense, but that just isn't the case.
- Remember the Dallas game where he went and "claimed" the Cowboys stadium as his house?
- Does not get along with his teammates
- How long will Mariuchi and Owens be able to co-exist?? NOT MUCH LONGER!

Eric Moulds:
- Decided not to test the free-agent market, and instead took less money to stay in Buffalo.
- Is not overly cocky
- Does not fight with teammates in public
- Tells Drew "Do whatever it takes to win!" while suggesting that he throw the ball more to Peerless and Reed.
- Endured RJ and DF with minimal complaints
- Is not addicted to child porn :D
- Has never told me to "Get lost" :D
- Handsome :D

EM really does personify what a teammate should be. I for one would not trade him for either Moss or Owens.

I agree wys. I watched the game last week when they played the Rams on Monday night. Keyshawn apparently didn't like the fact that they didn't throw to him and he got right into Grudens face on the sidelines. Yelling and throwing his arms up in the air. Gruden kind of gave him one of his looks and kept walking and Keyshawn would not let it go.

After they won, Gruden went up to Keyshawn and grabbed him for a congrat's hug, while Keyshawn had a sour baby face on and wouldn't really return the hug.
Selfish, selfish, selfish!!!!!! That's why it's a team sport.

Em did have a little bit of "tude" in his first and second year and an incident with his girlfriend if I remember correctly, , but unlike Moss, Johnson, Owens et al, he grew up, understood his role and how he was negatively looked at when that was the focus of the media and fans instead of his play. I can't help think Drew is helping with the TEAM philosophy.

I don't consider Keyshawn an elite receiver.

I disagree. I think he's every bit as good. Sure, he may not have the talent of a Moss, but he makes up for it by playing hard.

...that Eric is the best on the field. I still think he can be negative in the dressing room however, but the others you are comparing are worse.

Off the field, he does NOT win any humanitarian awards. Fathering four illegitimate children is clearly a sign of irresponsibility and NOT something we should look up to. NOT paying child support entitles you to be called a DEAD BEAT DAD and not a role model.

I appreciate the NFL fosters these types of anti-social behaviour, but it does NOT mean we have to like the man. As a player, I love him. As a man, I despise him.

I totally agree that Eric is the man and I think his team oriented attitude is greatly underrated and underappreciated. The funny thing is, when he was drafted a lot of teams had questions and concerns about his attitude and the type of player he'd be. I remember Dave Wandstedt went as far as saying he wouldn't draft Eric Moulds even if he were the last player left. Idiot.

Go E-Mo! Go Bills!

I think the "elite" receivers in the league are Harrison, Boston, Owens, Moss...

I agree that EM has grown up. At some point I would like to see him publically take responsibility for his children and the behavior of his younger adult years.

"I don't consider Keyshawn an elite receiver."

I wouldn't either, but a lot of the league does. My point was however that he's half a head-case too.

Again, while many tout Moulds as one of the best in the league, he's only had one very good season that doesn't even rival the best of those mentioned above. I think that all changes this year, and is partly b/c of our QB situation over the past 4 or 5 years. Nonetheless, he really has to post at least 1,400 yards and 10 TDs this year for him to be considered among the best.

I see him finishing w/ 1,500 and 14 TDs

I see Price's performance tapering off a bit while Reed's picks up substantially.
